The FKMCHS School Logo

This is the Francisco Kiko Manlises Calingag High School’s (FKMCHS) Logo, which shows the date when they became independent. The school’s community brainstormed together to create this new logo, with each element representing something meaningful to the school. The previous Head Teacher Mrs. Agnes Bumacod explained it to us (SIKAT) like this. The book represents knowledge and the light represent wisdom. The tree inside the book is the Calingag tree. The rice fields signify the economic conditions of the community 2015 is the date that the school became independent. The FKMCHS is a reminder and inspiration to motivate the students, parents and the community that once there was someone whose heart was pure and willing to sacrifice their personal interest for the sake of others. The circle depicts that if you enter the school you are secure under the tutelage of the teachers. The leaves reflect the triumph of the students that have graduated from FKMCHS The mountain shows the geographical location of the school. The torch signifies that the school is under the supervision of the Department of Education. After the awarding of the school as an independent, we created this logo. One that is worthy of emulation and it is being used for all reports and communication from the school. Through the generosity of the Calleva Foundation Trust, we were able to help the school manufacture and place this logo at the front entrance as an important symbol of their identity and success. Though this addition may seem small, it is a source of pride for the student, teachers, and staff boasting their morale and increasing their feeling fo legitimacy as an educating institution.
