What we do
We work to help the SIKAT project find sustainable financial help for the deprived families that have very limited access to everything. SIKAT will work happily with teachers, governors, parents, staff, children and the community to recognise the importance of educational opportunities and to give them the support their needs. We give them the support they need by
- Sending donated books and learning materials to the school
- Our regular trustee meetings
- Trustees visiting the school
- Collecting feedback from parents and teachers
- Evaluations of progress
- Involving local community leaders with projects
Sikat is dedicated to improving education for deprived children in Calingag. We believe that investing in children's desire to learn is the best way to improve society in the future.
In the few short years that we've been established, we have already been closely involved in getting the school off the ground.
Our projects now are focussed on improving facilities at the school and giving current and future students there the support they need to make the most of their education.
